Education in Mississippi traces way back to the 19th century. In the early stages of Mississippian education, it was mostly private and expensive for average families to send their children to. Until the Reconstruction Era, a public form of education wad discovered and it allowed many people to be educated. Sadly, both public and private forms of education faced racism and segregation in the 19th century. This slowed down the enhancement of education in not only Mississippi but also the United States as a whole. On a more serious note, Ethan and I feel like we should also teach/give a small message to you readers-- "Don't judge a book by its cover". This is the most important tip anyone can give you; it's always better to be multi-cultural and reach out to the word, instead of shutting yourself in alone. Open up to the world, socialize and we guarantee, life would be worthwhile.
First time entering Mississippi, I easily picked up that Mississippi is a religious state. Due to the passionate people and their welcoming thoughts and actions, I noticed that Mississippi is a religious state. Around 59.2% of Mississippians are indeed, religious, compared with America´s 49.4% being religious. This means that the citizens of Mississippi are more affiliated with a specific religion than the whole United States as a whole. The most popular religion in Mississippi is Christianity (Baptism), occupying around 34.5% of the state. This is truly remarkable, to have a state with so much belief, and hope for what they believe. This state inspired both me and Ethan, due to their overwhelming passion for their beliefs. This is something that everyone all need to learn; to believe passionately and to never lose hope. Mississippi is a state that believes, and a state that will never give up.
